On October 6 2023, in the meeting room of the Quality Assurance Institute, the presence of the Quality Assurance Agency (BPM) of the Hospital Institute of Technology, Science and Health (ITSK). Dr. Soepraoen Kesdam V Brawijaya Malang was warmly welcomed by the Chair of LPM UB, accompanied by the secretariat team. This visit is an integral part of a series of exchanges of knowledge and best practices between the two influential entities. Led by Dr. Widia Shofa Ilmiah, SST., M.Kes, who also serves as Head of the Quality Assurance Agency, this group was present at the office of the Quality Assurance Institute of the Hospital Institute of Technology, Science and Health. Dr. Soepraoen Kesdam V Brawijaya Malang with the aim of attending a discussion session regarding Good Practices in Efforts to Improve the Quality of Education by LPM UB.
The meeting session was an opportunity for both parties to jointly explore the essence of Quality Assurance. This discussion aims to understand the strategic and technical steps taken by LPM UB in carrying out Education Quality Assurance (PMP) and consider relevant updates. Dr. Widia Shofa Ilmiah, SST., M.Kes, confidently stated that LPM UB was able to implement PMP effectively and succeeded in building a strong system to ensure the quality of education at the University was maintained.
Apart from that, Dr. Widia Shofa Ilmiah, SST., M.Kes, also emphasized the importance of exchanging information and experience between higher education institutions and quality assurance institutions in maintaining productive communication and relationships, as an effort to support the implementation of SPMI in higher education to obtain the latest knowledge and best practices.
In his speech, the Head of LPM UB Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina, S.H., M.H firmly stated her openness to share experiences and knowledge with all educational institutions without exception. The aim is very clear, namely to improve the quality of education and spread the spirit of Good University Governance (GUG) more evenly among academics. Not only that, he also hopes that this discussion session will pave the way for closer collaboration, where the experience and knowledge between the two institutions can collaborate to create sustainable improvements.
It is hoped that the results of this meeting will also serve as a guide for other higher education institutions that wish to strengthen their Education Quality Assurance systems. The strategic and technical steps discussed will be a valuable reference in efforts to advance the quality of education throughout Indonesia.
