Malang, 24 August 2023 – The Quality Assurance Agency (LPM) held a routine Quality Assurance Group (GJM) meeting on Thursday, 24 August 2023 located at Hotel 101 Malang. The event aims to accommodate GJM of all faculties in conveying information and aspirations at the university level. On this occasion, the theme presented wasSharing Session GJM “Strategy for Compiling Tracer Study Reports and Community Satisfaction Surveys” as well as sharing experiences and achievements from GJM (Faculty of Law and Faculty of Agriculture).
This meeting was attended by the Chairperson of LPM, the Chairperson of the AIM Center, the Chairperson of the National Accreditation Center, the Chairperson of the GJM for all Faculties, the Chairperson of the Quality Assurance Unit (UJM) for all Departments, and the LPM Team. The event started with the opening and directions delivered by Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina, S.H., M.H., as Chair of LPM. In his direction, he stressed the importance of improving the quality of education at Brawijaya University through collaborative efforts made by GJM. Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina also highlighted the positive efforts that have been made by GJM members so far in maintaining and improving the quality of education on campus.
“Quality education is our shared commitment. The Quality Assurance Group has a central role in ensuring that every aspect of education at this university reaches the highest standard. Our success in achieving this goal does not only cover academic aspects, but also the scope of services to students and the wider community,” said Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina in his direction.
In this context, Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina also emphasized the importance of involving the community’s perspective in evaluating the quality of education. “We cannot measure the quality of education internally alone. Therefore, I invite all GJM members to be actively involved in carrying out the Community Satisfaction Survey. The views and input from the community will be a reflection of how far we have succeeded in producing graduates who are ready to compete and make a positive contribution society and industry,” he added.
Further material in a panel, Representative from the Directorate of Career and Alumni Development (DPKA), Adam Hendra Brata, S.Kom., MT, M.Sc., gave a presentation on “Indicators for Preparing Tracer Study Reports”. This material aims to provide insight to participants regarding the importance of recording data related to graduate careers in measuring the quality of university education. Adam Hendra Brata explained in detail about the method of data collection, analysis, and interpretation of the resultstracer study, which will eventually become an important indicator in curriculum improvement and program alignment with the needs of the world of work.
Furthermore, material on Feedback Services and Community Satisfaction Surveys was presented by the Head of the Information and Public Relations Division (DIK), Zulfaidah Penata Gama, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. Zulfaidah discussed how to collect feedback data from students, alumni, andstakeholder can provide valuable insights into the quality of service and educational processes in universities. This presentation also highlighted the importance of community satisfaction surveys in measuring the effectiveness of the university’s contribution to the wider community. With this data, universities can proactively identify areas of improvement and maintain the quality of education delivered to students and the public.
These two materials reflect the commitment of Universitas Brawijaya to continuously improve the quality of education and services to all elements involved directly or indirectly. This panel meeting presented interactive discussions that encouraged the exchange of ideas and a deeper understanding of the implementation of indicators and services in the context of education quality assurance.
After that, the session was heldsharing panel and a joint discussion involving Riyanti Isaskar S.P., M.Sc as Chair of GJM FP (Faculty of Agriculture) and Ladito Risang Bagaskoro, S.H., M.H as secretary of GJM FH (Faculty of Law). Both of them shared experiences, programs and achievements that have been carried out by GJM and the support of the Faculty in ensuring the quality of internal education has been going well. CFK/LPM
