Synchronization of Institutional Accreditation Monitoring Data via PDDIKTI and GJM Sharing Session

Friday, November 24 2023, the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) Universitas Brawijaya carried out Institutional Accreditation Monitoring Data Synchronization Activities through PDDIKTI and GJM Sharing Session. This event was held to follow up on the enactment of Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 53 of 2023, which brought major changes related to Quality Assurance in Higher Education

This activity was opened by Prof. Dr. Widya Dwi Rukmi Putri, S.T.P., M.P. who said the importance of this activity as a step for study programs to make improvements to PS data so as to support the achievement of better PS accreditation. The explanation in the first session was delivered by Prof. Dr. Slamet Wahyudi, S.T., M.T. as one of the Executive Board of BAN PT as well as Deputy for Accreditation and Education of UB, who conveyed the importance of Universitas Brawijaya to pay attention to the provisions in Permendikbudristek Number 53 of 2023 Article 102 (1c) which contains universities and/or study programs that are not accredited and/or have not To apply for accreditation, you must submit an application for accreditation to BAN PT and/or LAM no later than 1 (one) year after the Ministerial Regulation is promulgated.

Based on this Permendikbudristek, BAN PT will issue different instruments related to national accreditation, especially with the potential to include Key Performance Indicators in institutional assessment instruments. In the future, BAN PT, through monitoring data, will accompany universities and study programs in applying for accreditation and if they pass the monitoring, their status will only be accredited or not accredited. For institutions whose accreditation assessment does not meet the standards according to the assessment instrument, they can be declared as not accredited and no longer have the right to accept and graduate students. Therefore, institutions need to synchronize data with PDDIKTI because monitoring will be carried out using the existing database at PDDIKTI.

Directorate of Administration and Academic Services (DALA), Directorate of Human Resources (DSDM) and Directorate of Information Technology (DTI) UB, each represented by Mr Heri Prawoto Widodo, S.Sos., MAB. , Prof. Dr. Sukarmi, S.H., M.Hum, Mr. Rizki Trisnadi, S.T. are units that have an important role in supporting the data reported on PDDIKTI. Therefore, these three units will always coordinate with the heads of faculties throughout UB to present the latest data which includes; student status, home base lecturers, PS ratio calculating lecturers and other important data related to accreditation instruments. This data can also be accessed by the Dean, Head of Department, KPS and academic staff who are given assignments through the Information System owned by UB such as those related to home base lecturers or lecturer activities which can be accessed via SIADO or student status data via SIMPEL.

Chair of the Quality Assurance Institute, Mrs. Dr. Shinta Hadiyantina, S.H., M.H. also conveyed the need for cooperation between the Quality Assurance Group and Faculty leaders to immediately submit proposals for re-accreditation for PSs that are “red” or have not passed monitoring for their accreditation status in monitoring data, as well as for PSs that are still new. Because PSs that still do not meet the standard assessment instruments will affect the accreditation status of the PT where they are based. (MLN, NBL/LPM)
