Malang, 22 September 2023 – Located at the Aria Hotel Gajayana, the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of Brawijaya University held a regular meeting of the Quality Assurance Group (GJM) on Friday, 22 September 2023. This event was a forum for GJM from all faculties to share information and aspirations at University level. The main theme raised on this occasion was “Report FormulationTracer Study” which is also an important point in maintaining Brawijaya University’s accreditation ranking.
Chair of the LPM, Deputy for Organizational and Educational Accreditation, Chair of the SPMI Center, Chair of the National Accreditation Center, Chair of the GJM from all Faculties, Chair of the Quality Assurance Unit (UJM) from all Departments, and the LPM Team were also present at this meeting. The event opened with remarks and directions from Prof. Dr. Slamet Wahyudi, S.T., M.T., as Deputy for Organizational and Educational Accreditation. In his direction, he emphasized how important it is to maintain and improve Brawijaya University’s accreditation ranking, emphasizing thattracer study become the main pillar in developing the quality of education at Brawijaya University.
Next, Representative from the Directorate of Career and Alumni Development (DPKA), Adam Hendra Brata, S.Kom., M.T., M.Sc., explained material on “Report FormulationTracer Study“. This presentation aims to provide in-depth insight into the strategy and steps required in compiling a reporttracer study.
The aim of this event is to improve GJM’s understanding and skills in formulating reportstracer study to support improving the quality of education at Brawijaya University. The benefit of this activity is to ensure that the process of evaluating and improving the quality of education is based on strong empirical data, so that it can maintain and improve Brawijaya University’s accreditation.
The next session ispanel sharing and discussions involving Dr. Dr. Viera Wardhani, M.Kes as Chair of GJM FK (Faculty of Medicine), Syarifah Hikmah Julinda Sari, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D as Chair of GJM FPIK (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences), drh. Yudit Oktanella, M.Si as Chair of GJM FKH (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), and Fitri Candra Wardana, S.E., M.Acc., Ph.D as Secretary of GJM UB Postgraduate School. These four presenters shared their experiences, programs and achievements with the GJM Team as well as support from their respective faculties, which significantly contributed to ensuring that the quality of internal education was maintained well. Thus, it is hoped that the result of this meeting will be an increase in the effectiveness of GJM in supporting efforts to maintain and improve Brawijaya University’s accreditation through relevant steps and data.
Apart from that, it is hoped that this meeting will also strengthen synergy between all faculties and related units at Brawijaya University in an effort to maintain the quality of education. It is hoped that the close collaboration between GJM, Departments and LPM can provide a positive contribution in achieving the final goal, namely maintaining the quality of accreditation and internal quality assurance of Brawijaya University as a superior educational institution.
The benefits of this meeting also include increasing transparency and accountability in the education quality evaluation process. By sharing experience and knowledge, GJM from various faculties can gain new insights to develop more effective strategies in formulating reportstracer study.
The importance of this event is also reflected inoutput What is expected is the preparation of a concrete and measurable follow-up plan. This plan will serve as a guide for all Faculties and Departments to continue to strive to improve data quality and ensure that Brawijaya University remains a leading educational institution in Indonesia.
With the end of this meeting, it is hoped that the spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm to continue to improve the quality of education at Brawijaya University will continue to burn. Hopefully the results of this meeting can become a strong foundation for all academic components to continue to innovate and maintain the existence of Universitas Brawijaya as a center for superior and quality education.
